FOX Entertainment Company is seeking a Financial Analyst, Residuals with strong project management capabilities and in-depth knowledge of guild residuals. The Financial Analyst, Residuals is responsible for overseeing the setups for residual reporting and serves as a key liaison between the Residuals team and departments such as Production, Content Operations, Business Affairs, and Accounting.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within internal teams and external partners, including Guilds and Unions, Producers, and Payroll providers.

Primary responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting the residual implications of various guild, union, and license & production services agreements. This includes coordinating with internal teams and payroll providers to accurately set up and process residual payments, maintaining and assist in building out trackers and procedures in residuals system, and collaborate closely with Content Operations, Business Affairs, FP&A, and Production Finance to determine the residual impacts across a wide range of titles.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and interpret production, distribution, and legal agreements to determine residual liabilities, and accurately document terms in the residuals obligation tracker and rights management system
  • Collaborate with third-party payment vendors to deliver detailed setup data and ensure accurate, timely setups for residual payments
  • Prepare and coordinate residual reporting for payroll providers to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Research and respond to inquiries from producers, guilds, and internal stakeholders, addressing ad hoc requests with clarity and accuracy
  • Drive process improvements by participating in the development, testing, and implementation of new residual systems aimed at enhancing automation, efficiency, and standardization
  • Lead or support various projects with a focus on detailed analysis, timely execution, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Perform financial analyses to assess the business impact of residuals, including scenario modeling and evaluation of new deal terms, for Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Film Ultimates

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • BA/BS in accounting, finance, business administration, or similar degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
  • Skilled in handling challenging situations with diplomacy, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data with strong attention to detail and organizational precision
  • Strong multitasking abilities with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels
  • Solid understanding of and ability to interpret union collective bargaining agreements and apply accordingly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; strong command of Outlook and Word skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $25.75-34.50 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
