What You'll Do As an Engineering Manager on the Express team, you will:
- Lead and inspire a team of full-stack engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Drive the execution of full-stack projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Mentor and develop engineers through regular feedback, career growth planning, and hands-on technical guidance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to align on priorities, define roadmaps, and deliver customer-centric features.
- Champion engineering best practices, including performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and code quality.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code reviews, design discussions, and innovation initiatives.
- Leverage AI and automation where appropriate to enhance user experiences, streamline development workflows, and improve product intelligence.
- Continuously improve team operations, using data and feedback to refine processes and boost team efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling modern web applications across the stack.
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams in a collaborative, agile environment.
- Deep understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, Webpack) and back-end systems (e.g., Node.js, RESTful APIs, microservices).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to or interest in AI/ML technologies, including how they can be integrated into user-facing applications or developer tooling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring and team building.
- A growth mindset and a desire to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $143,700 -- $289,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
