The Senior Director of Information Technology Engineering and Delivery is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and operational excellence of the Affinity IT systems engineering, and service delivery functions across the solution line. This role leads a team of IT professionals and collaborates closely with other IT leaders and business collaborators to ensure the reliable, secure and efficient delivery of technology services that enable business objectives and drive innovation! This position reports to the Global Head of Digital and Engineering, Affinity Solutions.

What the day will look like.

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Develop and articulate the strategic vision and road map for technology systems engineering, and service delivery, aligning with the overall IT strategy and goals.

Find opportunities to use emerging technologies and standard processes to enhance the organization's IT capabilities and drive operational efficiencies while accelerating innovation and growth.

Make valuable contributions to the development of the solution lines overall IT budget and resource allocation. Anticipate future technology needs and proactively plan for scalability and growth

Engineering Leadership

Responsibility for implementation, and maintenance management of the IT continuous innovation and program development teams with a focus on high performance, agility, and scalability.

Partner with architecture and infrastructure leadership related to design, solutioning, cloud environments, technology modernization and lifecycle management.

Ensure the adoption of robust and scalable engineering principles and standards.

Lead the development and enforcement of IT architecture standards and guidelines.

Drive the evaluation and selection of technology platforms and solutions in partnership with architecture leadership.

Service Delivery Management

Establish and maintain clear service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) for all IT services.

Development and implementation of robust IT services processes. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT services, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon service levels.

Monitor service performance, identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to enhance service quality.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead, mentor, and develop technology managers, engineers, and delivery professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Identify and address skill gaps and develop training and development plans for team members. Promote a positive and engaging work environment.

Management and Communications

Build and maintain strong relationships with business collaborators, understanding their technology needs and ensuring alignment of IT services with business objectives. Communicate effectively with executive leadership, IT colleagues and collaborators on IT strategy, initiatives, and performance.

Handle vendor relationships related to engineering and service delivery.

Risk Management and Security

Work closely with the Global Security leadership to ensure the security and integrity of solution lines, applications, and data. Identify and mitigate IT-related risks by conducting regular assessments and implementing preventive measures.

Implementation and alignment of comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard our systems and data.

Skills and experience that will lead to success.

  • Minimum of 10 years of dynamic experience in IT with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles responsible for systems engineering and service delivery.
  • Deep technical expertise across a broad range of technologies (e.g. Azure Cloud, Digital, .Net, CMS, PMS, AI etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience in crafting, implementing, and managing complex IT environments.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL or other relevant IT service management frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong business sense and the ability to align IT strategy with business goals.
  • Experience handling IT budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Azure, Salesforce) or technology service management.
  • Experience in specific industry relevant to the organization.
  • Experience with DevOps and automation practices.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $168k to $180k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
