As a result, a full-time position is available for an experienced Interior Designer. This opportunity is available in any of the following office locations: Bloomington, MN; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL or Portland, OR.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing unified design concepts by managing the interior design process and document development
  • Executing interior construction document sets with accuracy
  • Managing and overseeing technical aspects of interior design projects
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members
  • Researching, evaluating, and selecting furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), materials and finishes
  • Mentoring less experienced interior design staff
  • Developing presentations that communicate design intent to clients
  • Other tasks as assigned.

An ability to successfully produce a full set of Interior construction documents in compliance with agency criteria in Revit is essential.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in architecture, interior architecture, or interior design from a CIDA, NAAB, or similar accredited university.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in the design of federal, defense, aviation, or large commercial projects
  • NCIDQ Certification

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

  • Experience developing interiors from programming to completion with focus on federal and defense projects
  • Experience with interior design of aviation and state/federal projects
  • Seeking LEED or WELL certification
  • Experienced in selecting appropriate materials for aesthetic, cost, durability, and sustainability reasons
  • Experience with the development of scope of work/services, fees, and project specifications
  • Experience mentoring less experienced interior design staff
  • Strong proficiencies in Adobe Suite, Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience with collaborating and coordinating interior elements with architects and engineers.

Salary Range: $84,000 to $97,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
