Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to support both internal and external quality processes for a leading aerospace organization. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, is proficient in AS9100/AS9102 standards, and is confident in executing first article inspections, failure investigations, and customer return analysis. A background in electromechanical aerospace systems is a strong plus.
*This is a 2nd shift onsite position
Key Responsibilities
*Participate in and support internal and external CAB (Corrective Action Board) meetings for assigned programs (e.g., SLC, PEC, AFP)
*Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to drive closure of QNs and ETQs
*Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and manage purge requests as needed
*Conduct strategic failure analysis on LRU/ZHR components and present monthly findings to leadership
*Investigate and document Customer Return Material (CRM/ZHR) issues
*Facilitate weekly calls with Product Quality Engineers and CAB stakeholders; coordinate and communicate failure analysis reports
Required Qualifications
*Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace or defense environment
*Strong understanding of AS9100 compliance and AS9102 documentation requirements
*Hands-on experience with first article inspections, test equipment, and trend analysis
*Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
*Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Word
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to work 2nd shift
*Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience working with electromechanical systems
*Background in failure analysis and working with customer-owned equipment
