JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineering Failure analysis Lab Is seeking an experienced FA lab technician to help in failure analysis of PCB assemblies and similar electrical components. The FA Lab Technician is responsible for conducting detailed investigations on failed components or products, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to identify the root cause of malfunctions, by performing tasks like sample preparation, operating analytical tools like SEM or FIB, data collection, and generating comprehensive reports to support corrective actions by identifying and addressing manufacturing defects or design flaws.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepping specimens for cross sectional analysis.
* Perform cross sections of test specimens.
* Assist Engineering in setting up and executing Designs of Experiments (DOE).
* Assist Engineering with Material Characterizations.
* Operate Equipment utilized by the Failure Analysis Lab. Cross sectional polishers, SEM, microscopes, X-ray, Rheology, DSC.
* Plan, organize and maintain the Lab facilities for optimal efficiency.
* Create new processes when necessary.
* Manage time effectively across multiple demanding deadlines.
* Be able to work across teams to get things done.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associates degree in Engineering or related field or relative work experience.
* Minimum 5 years" experience in similar Engineering lab environments with proven records of high-quality analytical skill.
* Able to understand schematics, use schematic and PCB layout viewers to locate components and Solder joint locations.
* Ability to complete tasks on time, to work independently with minimum supervision.
* Positive attitude and sense of organization.
* Good communication skills (written and verbal).
* Familiar with Office tool suite (Excel spreadsheet and Word) for report writing.
* Must have the ability to learn new techniques and equipment as needed.
