The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team supporting high-profile university events and key administrative functions. This front-facing role offers the unique opportunity to assist in planning and executing prestigious events-including commencement, donor dinners, and Board of Trustees gatherings-while contributing to the success of student leadership programs like the President's Leadership Council and Order of Pegasus. If you're detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, this role offers a front-row seat to university operations and meaningful engagement with staff, students, faculty, and distinguished guests.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for opening the office each day, and as the front desk position also responsible for office coverage during regular business hours. If unavailable, must find sufficient coverage.

  • Assists the Event Coordinator in providing support and control of events & activities.

  • Works in conjunction with the coordinator to manage academic, faculty and staff, and donor events ranging from large-scale events such as commencement to intimate donor dinners at the Burnett House.

  • Assists with operational effectiveness of the President's Leadership Council (PLC) at events in coordination with the Senior AVP of Presidential Events.

  • Assists Director, Student Programs and outreach with the President's Student Advisory Council (PSAC) and Order of Pegasus interview process. Duties include tracking service hours performed, and event staffing & management.

  • In conjunction with the Board of Trustees Office, coordinates meetings, luncheons, golf cart tours, suit embroidery, honorary events and logistics surrounding board events.

  • Provides support for all aspects of event coordination, including, but not limited to, event set-up and tear-down and all aspects of logistical support and registration management.

  • Helps the Event Coordinator maintain data accuracy when collecting updated community contact lists.

  • Assists with implementation of programs and events at the Burnett House.

  • Serves as back-up for opening the house.

  • Assists with the management of activities that build relationships between the university president or the president's spouse and key constituent groups.

  • Provides support for all aspects of event coordination.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
