PURPOSE

Responsible for ensuring alignment of lean processes with eBusiness programs to maximize operational efficiency and customer service, creating differentiation from competitors and providing a clear competitive advantage that cannot be quickly or easily replicated by others in our industry. They directly support field implementation and adoption of eBusiness programs such as eCommerce and the suite of tools (Logistics Manager, Install Manager, and Design Manager) as well as providing leadership and project management for various lean initiatives, kaizen events and other continuous improvement efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead change management processes from inception to full implementation of eBusiness capabilities and field operational improvements.
  • Work with all departments and operations teams to ensure lean processes result from the initiatives.
  • Create execution plans to implement solutions into practical applications.
  • Assist in preparation of cost/benefit analysis, budgets and capex requirements for implementation plans.
  • Support market teams by leading the ongoing development, implementation and adoption of the suite of tools (Logistics Manager, Install Manager, and Design Manager), including the development of necessary training programs and documentation for implementation of new processes and technology as well as current eBusiness programs and tools.
  • Develop KPI's, establish benchmarks, define success for new programs and publish progress reports.
  • Communicate with all departments, solicit support and create cooperative effort required for success for each program.
  • Assist in identification and preparation of pilot locations to implement new programs.
  • Support the management of pilot and implementation processes through to completion.
  • Prepare regular communications for periodic announcements and company publications.
  • Coordinate with corporate, division and market leadership in the facilitation, planning and leading of various lean initiatives in support of company goals (to include kaizen events, 5S implementation, change management, process mapping, etc.).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering field or ten years work experience in relevant field, demonstrating a high capacity for learning, communicating, and leading others.
  • 5 years in building materials, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years leading lean process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience leading integrated process and technology initiatives in multi-site environment.


COMPETENCIES



  • Knowledge of all aspects of retail store or manufacturing operations, training, analysis, customer relations and planning.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Lean process analysis and improvement.
  • Project management skills, and change management experience.
  • Preference given to individuals with Six Sigma Lean training and Black Belt Certification.
  • Tech-savvy with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Visio.
  • Special consideration given to applicants with experience using Trend, NxTrend, and industry related tools.
  • Ability to travel and perform other activities per the requirements of the position.
