Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the physicians and leaders in our Sarcoma Service in the Department of Pediatrics (MSK Kids).

Role Overview:

    Provide administrative support to the Sarcoma Service, including the MSK Kids Division Head of Solid Tumor and the Vice Chair for Clinical Research
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as requested. Manage complex calendars of department staff, using independent judgment based on knowledge of priorities and resources
  • Complete all travel authorization and travel reimbursements for physicians
  • Answer assigned phone lines and direct calls; use correct telephone techniques and procedures when receiving and making calls; cross-cover other lines as assigned
  • Assist with creating agendas, preparing presentations, and taking meeting minutes
  • Manage data and create documents; be responsible for the flow of visitors/staff and activities throughout the administrative suite
  • Ensure confidentiality of critical documents and information as per department and institution guidelines
  • Operate independently, with discretion, in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals and provide operational support when necessary

Key Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a medical setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Calendar management experience and coordinating schedules
  • Strong prioritization, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Additional Information:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (hybrid schedule)
  • Location: 1275 York Avenue
  • Pay Range: $26.21-$39.24

Reporting to the Manager of the Service.
