If so, we have a Software Engineer II role for you. Our team's mission is to secure customer data stored on Microsoft 365 services through encryption at rest. We enable enterprise customers to bring their own encryption keys to our encryption platform. We work in an agile environment and use a variety of technologies such as microservices deployed in Azure App Services, Cosmos DB, Data pipelines that process millions of records, etc. In this role, you learn how Microsoft 365, a massively distributed cloud service, protects customer data and how to build services at hyperscale that support mission critical collaboration products like Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad network of people and expand your scope of influence across teams and disciplines, and grow in the job to progressively have more impact on customers, the team, and the Microsoft business. ResponsibilitiesWorks with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features. Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight. Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable. Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation. Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems. Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
