Summary:

In this role, you will collaborate with the leaders across the organization to leverage cross-functional initiatives and to drive strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the company. This role ensures the integrity, availability, and security of cloud infrastructure while also championing the use of data-driven insights of our data and digital business unit to optimize operational efficiency and inform strategic decisions. Fostering a culture of shared team ownership, you will provide guidance and support as a player/coach, contributing to projects, products, applications, and issue resolution to achieve exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead Vizient's enterprise cloud adoption strategy in collaboration with senior leadership, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and industry best practices.
• Establish, enforce, and continuously improve enterprise-wide standards, policies, and procedures governing the cloud and legacy infrastructure lifecycle.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of cloud engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Provide hands-on leadership in staff coaching and professional development, ensuring clear growth paths and skills alignment with emerging cloud technologies.
• Promote an inclusive, transparent, and collaborative work environment, modeling leadership behaviors that support team cohesion and high engagement.
• Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of both cloud-native and legacy infrastructure solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with finance and senior leadership to project and manage the total cost of ownership for cloud platforms, including capital and operational expenditures.
• Partner with key vendors and service providers to leverage external expertise, optimize costs, and align with Vizient's data management and platform modernization strategies.
• Manage strategic relationships with cloud service providers and infrastructure partners to ensure accountability, service level performance, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Continuously assess the cloud infrastructure landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, risk mitigation, and enhanced operational resilience.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with direct, indirect, or cross-functional team leadership roles required.
• 7 or more years of experience with data center technologies required
• 7 or more years of experience with computer networking technologies is preferred.
• 7 or more years of experience with database technologies (MSSQL/Oracle/MariaDB) preferred.
• Working knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure preferred.
• You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
