The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) IT Platform Manager is responsible for leading a team that efficiently delivers innovative, mission critical solutions by implementing, administering, and improving technology applications for WWP business administration and fundraising teams. This position also partners with WWP vendors, business, and fundraising staff to resolve business and fundraising issues in a timely and efficient manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Spearhead the direction and guidance for WWP Business and Fundraising platforms, aligning vision and leadership with organizational strategy. Shape and oversee the evolution of a comprehensive technology roadmap, catering to the diverse needs of all business partners. Cultivate a cohesive and service-oriented team that collaboratively delivers exceptional solutions in line with business and fundraising platform requirements. Foster collaboration across all IT functions with a focus on data management and systems' integrations. Oversee team processes, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvements to elevate the team's efficiency. Effectively develop the team to achieve their utmost potential by providing adept coaching, establishing clear objectives, managing performance, fostering career development, and delivering valuable feedback. Review workflows developed by developers/analysts to gain understanding of WWP system tasks. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to best support WWP initiatives. Guide the design, implementation, and delivery of work within the team that cultivates communication and best practices. Collaborate with business partners, IT infrastructure, and other IT applications teams to prioritize larger projects. Ensure compliance with changes management processes. Manage implementations of applications and ensure versions are kept current: Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products, upgrades, and enhancements to applications. Identify and evaluate non-profit industry trends to serve as a source of information and advice for future projects. Work closely and develop strong relationships with business and fundraising platform business partners. Present team deliverables and track the status of current projects and maintenance activities. Manage budgeting and forecasting, to optimize resource allocation for seamless operations. Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. Other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Mentor and coach teammates, tailoring guidance to foster skill development and identifying skill gaps to shape targeted training strategies. Proficiency overseeing and assessing engagements with contractors and development partners. Demonstrated ability to assign technical resources to conduct analysis of user requests to determine scope, time estimates, and system impact. Ability to lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in leveraging integration technologies to facilitate the flow of data and operations between diverse systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities effectively and efficiently with varying complexity. Strong troubleshooting skills. Possess practical expertise in both technical and business domains, particularly in relation to custom and/or vendor applications. Experience managing IT applications functions, encompassing software development, implementation, support, maintenance services, scope management, timelines, budgets, and SDLC methodologies (Agile, etc.). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, Visio. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities as a team player. Foster strong and collaborative relationships with team, internal business partners, and external vendors. Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.
EXPERIENCE Requirements
Five years of information technology experience. Three years of experience as a supervisor/manager. Three years of experience supporting and managing software/application functions, knowledge of finance, HR, and/or fundraising solutions.
Preferences
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall SDLC. Experience managing HRIS solutions, preferred knowledge in Workday. Experience managing CRM solutions, preferred knowledge in Salesforce. Experience managing fundraising solutions, including Peer to Peer, and DIY, with a preference in utilizing the Salesforce platform. High level technical knowledge of integrating disparate applications.
EDUCATION Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
