Overview of this Position: The Training Manager develops, implements, evaluates, improves, and manages comprehensive, integrated learning and technical training in order to maximize employee success in developing, manufacturing, finishing, and testing of clinical and commercial drug products across GRAM's manufacturing sites. This role is responsible for all aspects of GRAM's GMP and professional development programs. This is an on-site role. Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in scientific, engineering, educational development-related discipline or related program, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 + years training experience (2+ years in a leadership role) with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training content for cGMP manufacturing personnel to include: Training requirements/syllabus development; Computer/ web-based training modules; In-person, practical hands-on training.
- Solid knowledge of cGMP training industry best practices, including FDA regulations and guidance; Learning and development theory, methods and techniques, Learning Management Systems
- Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Also, experience with LMS, Articulate, or other training related programs.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical or other regulated environment.
- Previous experience using MasterControl Quality Management System for Training strongly preferred.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Provide direction and guidance to Specialists and Technicians of various experience levels.
- Evaluate staffing levels based on business and quality goals and budget headcount, reevaluating at appropriate intervals.
- Hiring, managing, motivating, coaching and mentoring of the training department staff.
- Gain a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and existing training program.
- Enhance and expand training program to the next level of maturity as a comprehensive and integrated learning management program.
- Using technical training best practices, develop and implement an effective training program tailored for specific needs of each site's processes, including increased use of automated and paperless systems.
- Lead training specialists and cross-functional SME trainers to optimize performance-based learning strategies and technical training solutions.
- Ensure maximum alignment of training program with both quality and business objectives.
- Drive implementation of expanded training curricula.
- Support regulatory and client audits as needed.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees and subsequent ongoing training of site employees.
- Support new hire onboarding through presentations, Instructor Led programs, Computer Based Training programs and basic training support.
- Implement training effectiveness measurement criteria.
- Routinely measure, evaluate, and improve training effectiveness with product quality and patient safety in mind.
- Distribute weekly metrics to cross functional departments to support on time training goals are met.
- Establish training department long- and short-term goals. Direct training department personnel and cross-functional qualified trainers in accomplishing goals.
- Oversee and manage the trainer qualification program, identifying, training, evaluating and mentoring select individuals to become qualified trainers.
