Overview

CAES Mission Systems, Lansdale, PA is seeking a entry level Materials Analyst I to support the procurement team by purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and commodity products for delivery at specified time and location. This will require data entry, creating charts/graphs, negotiating pricing, discounts, and contracts and obtain materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability or source and urgency of need. They will also be responsible for purchase order follow up to expedite delivery and shipment, obtaining certifications of delivery, and conduct checks against orders.


Responsibilities

  • Weekly/Monthly KPI reporting and charts
  • Daily receiving and PO change reports
  • Review and enter new suppliers as well as manual purchase requisitions
  • Conduct request for quote and and analyze to ensure reasonable price and those items meet Company design and specification.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and arranges for blueprints, specifications, material and tooling to be forwarded to suppliers.
  • Maintain nonconformance (NCR) distributions and closeouts
  • Enter sector level PO requests
  • Other administrative functions as defined
  • On occasion may investigate availability of new products and processes.
  • Expedites material to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ability to work independent to resolve issues and seek supervisor assistance for more uncommon problems.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or Associates Degree with 4 years of experience, or HS Diploma with 8 years experience
  • This role is intended to be an entry-level position
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US person under US export laws or, eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license. A US Person includes a US citizen, lawful Permanent Resident, refugee or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skills (including Vlookup, pivot, charting, macros a plus)
  • 0-2 years' relevant experience
  • Ability to expedite and negotiate supplier proposals.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in materials finance/analysis, estimating, and planning with a strong analytical approach
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Prior experience developing materials cost proposals
  • Knowledge of Indentured Bills of Materials
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings

Salary Range: Materials Analyst I: $53,733.96 ~ $77,966.92 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
