Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Network Engineer to work in a 24x7 365 manufacturing environment. This individual is responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure, and high-performing network that supports industrial automation, and enterprise systems. This role requires experience in network design, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability networks to support continuous manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Deploy and manage Aruba and Fortinet network hardware, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and security solutions.
- Implement and optimize industrial networking solutions, such as Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance, securing operational technology (OT) networks and mitigating threats.
- Collaborate with production and IT teams to optimize network configurations for automated machinery and other devices.
- Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patches on network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical network incidents, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong expertise in Aruba and Fortinet networking solutions (switches, wireless, security, firewalls).
- Experience with industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP).
- In-depth understanding of network security best practices, including firewall configurations and threat mitigation.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Aruba, and Fortinet enterprise networking hardware.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Aruba Certified Network Professional (ACNP), Fortinet NSE4 or higher are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- High Availability & Redundancy: Ensuring network uptime with failover solutions.
- Industrial Networking: Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLC networks, and IoT connectivity.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Real-Time Monitoring & Incident Response: Using tools like Splunk, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
- Wireless & Wired Infrastructure: Managing Wi-Fi, fiber, and Ethernet in large-scale environments.
