2774-990 GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for meeting targeted annual sales goals on revenue, profit and volume established. Continue to grow business with key current customers and target new key customers that fit into the business strategy to increase volume, revenue, and profits. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Grow and maintain a strong customer base, while representing Dole's commitment to serving the needs of the customer. Maintain the high level of customer relations expected to grow business via strong follow through on commitments and entertaining key customers / decision makers. * Respond to daily customer/carrier issues and problems; troubleshoot/anticipate. Project customer's volume/price requirements. Negotiate weekly pricing and volume with assigned customers (non-contract accounts). * Research potential new business that will co-exist against existing customers to increase volume, revenue and profit growth, developing and implementing sales plans and strategies that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence. * Analyze the competition and market conditions as regards to supply and demand and competitive situations. * Create sales orders (order entry on One World) for customers, assign carriers, and manage daily changes. Responsible for proper pricing on invoices. Provide outturn reports for all customers to insure proper invoicing and execution of the sales orders. * Manage accounts receivables and monitor Aging Report. Enter Request For Credit (RFC)/Request For Debit (RFD) for assigned accounts. Collect overdue accounts. Maintain DSO at high levels created for PDP program to improve company cash flow. * Work closely with marketing / advertising dept to increase the strength of the Dole label with customers and to communicate the DNI work we are doing to create a healthier lifestyle and produce industry. * Work closely with technical service department for customer maintenance projects and to implement new accounts who need ripening expertise and training. INTERNAL RELATIONS WITH WHOM: Sales personnel, product managers, production personnel, port distribution personnel and IT WHAT FOR: Sales duties. EXTERNAL RELATIONS WITH WHOM: Warehouse personnel, Retail and wholesale customers WHAT FOR: Sales duties. Required Skills

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Availability to work overtime, weekends when necessary. Availability to travel necessary to visit key accounts throughout the marketing territory to travel as the position requires. Availability to drive a car. Willing and able to travel, primarily across the West Coast, with occasional trips to Central and East Coast accounts. Required Experience
