We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Air Liquide Rodeo SMR seeks a Plant Operator to start up, operate, and maintain two ultra-high purity nitrogen plants. Responsibilities include adjusting operations via process control systems, performing daily rounds, calibrating gas analyzers, and managing cryogenic tank inventories. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance on compressors, piping, and cryogenic systems. The operator must read P&IDs, adhere to HSE standards, and respond to plant alarms, including nights and weekends when on-call, as part of an onsite team.

* Start up and operate two ultra high purity nitrogen plants (air separation units).
* Make adjustments to plant operations using process control systems to meet changing production demands.
* Work as part of an onsite team to complete operational and maintenance tasks.
* Must respond to plant alarms on nights and weekends when on call.
* Perform daily rounds and readings.
* Calibrate onsite gas analyzers.
* Manage cryogenic tank inventories and supply to customers.
* Complete preventative maintenance work orders per published PM schedule.
* Perform maintenance activities on compressors, piping systems, cooling water systems and facilities.
* Perform troubleshooting on cryogenic gas systems.
* Ability to read and understand process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
* Adhere to all HSE standards and maintain a high standard of safety.

* 1+ years of related operations experience
* Ability to use computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google software
* Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude
* Must be punctual and reliable
* Demonstrate a positive and safety-first attitude
* Good verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customers
* Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of working with operator interface consoles (plant HMIs)
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (OSHA/EPA regulations, state/local regulations)
* Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
* Must be part of on-call schedule
* Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate
* Ability to work 12-hour shifts during nights, weekends and possibly holidays and provide vacation coverage in order to meet shift and on-call requirements
