The primary role of this individual is to work within the Dynamic Test Department to perform static and dynamic testing based on customer requirements. This individual will be expected to set up, run, and troubleshoot all test frames/shakers in the department. The individual will collaborate with production team members, engineers, and plant leadership to support safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics. This individual will also be expected to support the Production Quality Engineering Department with professional administrative duties related to quality and inspection systems. This position requires a motivated and well-organized individual with strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Organize and process incoming products for testing and delegate to specific equipment platforms.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, setup fixtures, and perform a variety of dynamic testing functions included but not limited to servo-hydraulic testing and electromechanical testing.
  • Troubleshoot testing and control issues to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
  • Accurately record and discuss test setup and results with various engineering functions.
  • Process products and paperwork according to quality standards, delivering completed results to next operation.
  • Apply mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles for technical problem solving in areas including controls of analog and digital electronics.
  • Provide support to the Quality Engineers in resolution of daily manufacturing issues and MRB activities.
  • First Article Inspections (FAI) activities (preparation of forms, coordination with the plant, and completion of FAI reports).
  • Assist with data gathering to support capabilities analysis of part key characteristics.
  • Support departmental Value Stream Analysis (VSA) activities (i.e., HPT boards, production stops, etc.) and assigned projects.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • High School education with 3-5 years of experience as a technician or equivalent experience.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Basic understanding of measurement devices coupled with mechanical ability.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Effective written, oral, visual and graphic communication.
  • Detail oriented individual that is committed to products and services that meet our customer's expectation, quality and value. Ability to work effectively as an individual and member of a multidisciplinary team.

Non-Mandatory Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent and 3-5 years servo-hydraulic and/or electromechanical testing and inspection experience.
  • Understanding of closed loop control systems and familiarity with load cell and LVDT calibrations.
  • Knowledge of Parker Lean Systems
  • Knowledge of SAP quality module.
