Qualified candidates will be engineers with 0-5 years of experience. Priority will be given to candidates who are interested in civil site projects.

We are seeking a motivated Engineer in Training to join our Energy Services team and be a part of this historic growth.

Opportunity

The Site Civil Engineer in Training will be a staff engineer working with the technical team and under the supervision of a professional engineer to deliver well-executed projects to our clients. You will assist with plan production, perform and review design calculations, drive quality assurance, and support the internal and external project team on a variety of site/civil land development engineering projects. Project elements typically include grading and earthwork, site access, erosion control, stormwater management, and other documentation to support the client's permitting and construction efforts. Work will vary from project to project, so our engineers are exposed to a number of different practices which allow them to not only become well rounded, but also to find a specialty they have interest in. This Team is expanding with additional expansion expected over the next few years. This allows for lots of potential for upward mobility once experience has been gained.



Responsibilities

    Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce engineering plans and exhibits.
  • Work for and under the advisement of licensed engineering and survey professionals to fulfil site civil and underground utility-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support project objectives (scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, client satisfaction) in accordance with established metrics.
  • Develop or improve technical expertise in site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, slope stability, underground utilities, and stormwater management.
  • Support projects from proposal to completion, including helping to establish budgets and schedules, attending client meetings and site visits, assisting with data collection and analysis, troubleshooting processes, documentation, and collaborating on team training.


Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience.
  • EIT/FE Certification or ability to obtain.
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D (strongly preferred) or MicroStation.
  • Exposure to Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, Bluebeam, HydroCAD, Microsoft
  • Suite, and other relevant software products a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment, across multiple teams and disciplines.
