Pay

Salaried grade 4, 6, or 8

$58,400 - $88,900 / year, depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is part of a career ladder that includes grades 4-11, indicating potential for advancement.

Schedule

1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

Hybrid with up to three days remote per week

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Category Management Analyst to join our Category Development team. This role focuses on turning data into meaningful insights and recommendations that help drive category growth. You'll work closely with retailers, internal teams, and suppliers to support new product launches, optimize distribution, shelf placement, pricing, and promotions. By evaluating category and brand performance, you'll help shape more effective marketing and sales strategies. The role also includes developing merchandising solutions, creating impactful customer presentations, and sharing best practices to strengthen collaboration and results across the team.

  • Partner with retailers and internal teams to develop strategic growth plans tailored to specific categories
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover growth opportunities at key retail accounts
  • Create modular and planogram merchandising recommendations to drive category performance
  • Leverage data insights to maximize product and category sales
  • Build and deliver compelling customer presentations based on research, analysis, and discovered insights
  • Represent the team in meetings and presentations with retail customers as needed
  • Explore new and innovative uses for existing data to support category and sales initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the Category Insights team to share best practices, tools, and analytical tools, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Analytics, Marketing, Finance)
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strategic thinking capability with the ability to assess situations from multiple perspectives and articulate a compelling vision for a desired future state
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently achieve or exceed established goals
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to coordinate people, tasks, and processes to drive effectiveness and operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or work-related experience in data analysis
  • Experience with category management process and tools such as JDA, Nielsen, and Numerator
  • Category Management Association certification
  • Extensive experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Continuous improvement mentality
