Department Overview:

Peapack Private Wealth Management includes investment management services provided for individuals and institutions, personal trust services (including services as executor trustee administrator custodian and guardian), and other financial planning tax preparation and advisory services. Officers from the Peapack Private Wealth Management division are available to provide wealth management and trust and investment services at the bank's headquarters in Bedminster and at all private banking locations.

Position Overview:

Supports and contributes to business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance, the output of which will be used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Develops a good understanding of our business model, objectives, issues and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders. Works directly with business lines and technical teams to understand and define business and operational issues, challenges, and the identification and definition of metrics which represent progress towards resolution. Identifies key business questions, corresponding data requirements and conducts exploratory analysis for solutions. Provides various business units with analytical insights and actionable information to measure and report progress against corporate strategic objectives.

Analyzes internal and external sources of data including our core systems, business results, industry data sources, competitor intelligence and customer information. Makes recommendations to improve data quality and data collection processes. Works with internal teams to diagnose and fix data quality issues.

Uses statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, reports and models to inform and support decision making. Presents data in a clear manner and proposes solutions. Creates data visualization to help business leaders understand their business problems and proposed solutions. Participates in working groups and committee forums to understand data needs and recommends potential solutions for data usage.

Analyzes data to extract valuable insights with goal to improve marketing techniques and increase cross-sell (bank and wealth). This will be accomplished, in part, by dissecting and interpreting PP's client landscape, and developing metrics to track key elements of client segments.

Introduces data science best practices for implementation at Peapack Private. Develops a data literacy process to ensure dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, and all produced reports are understood, adopted, and valued.

As time allows, supports the strategy office with ad hoc projects including but not limited to investor relations, strategic and capital planning, and performance analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to both partner with and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at data queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Strong time management skills to work through various projects simultaneously, prioritize, and re-prioritize as business needs evolve and change.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity to learn both the business of banking and wealth management while creating solutions that provide valuable outputs.


Qualifications:



  • This is a hybrid role: Must be able to commute to Bedminster, NJ 4 days per week.
  • 5-7 years of experience with data analytics using Excel, Power BI.
  • Strong preference for experience in a similar role within the Banking or Fiduciary industries.
  • Ability to concisely articulate complex information in both verbal and written form.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • High level of intellectual curiosity to learn both the business of banking and wealth management but also explore and create discrete solutions that provide valuable outputs.

The approximate pay range for this position is $79,000 to $101,200, plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
