Licensed Vocational Nurse Prepare Program Full Time 85130BR Job Summary The LVN utilizes the nursing process to assess and identify the individual needs of patients through observation of disease symptoms, emotional state, laboratory reports, cultural and socio economic background and response to medical regimen and treatment. Additionally, s/he is required to learn and apply the Prepare Clinic Standards. In collaboration with the Prepare health care providers, nurses, patient care technicians and senior administrative workers, the LVN will also assume clinical responsibility for lab result review and monitoring, and patient education This individual will utilize his/her good customer service and communication skills on a daily basis via phone/electronic contact, mail correspondence, and personal contact with both internal and external customers. This employee will utilize computer skills in ApeX and other UCSF computerized programs. This individual supports the standards of the policies and procedures of the practice, and is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of Medical Center policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and administrative and clinical practice. S/he is required to adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center, as well as demonstrating UCSF's PRIDE values and the AIDET fundamentals of communication in all patient care and stakeholder interactions. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $43.00 - $53.94 (Hourly Rate).
