As a Commercial Downstream Marketing Manager, you have lots of ideas grounded in research and knowledge of the marketplace. What you'll be doing
  • Provide "US Regional" Product Management oversight for the Med-Surg, ICU and Specialty areas of a hospital which can include smart beds and surfaces
  • Coordinate the successful launch of Med-Surg, ICU and Specialty bed products; develop strategic objectives, tactics, critical metrics and training plans for the US market
  • Lead the creation and implementation of pricing strategies, market analysis, promotional programs, market research, partnership programs, Continual Education (CE) programs and channel strategies
  • Provide marketing, sales and technical support at conferences, users' meetings, customer sites, end user workshops, and other specific marketing/sales events
  • Deliver marketing/sales tools, based on US customer unmet needs and associated value prop, for all levels of healthcare partners and sales teams
  • Work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer
  • Proactively works closely with Sales teams to effectively implement marketing strategies, segmentation and target lists to drive tactical plans to attain/exceed sales and category share objectives
  • Provide market feedback on healthcare trends, economics, construction, partnerships, KOLs and competition to assist in current product support and new product development
  • Partner with the global upstream marketing and medical affairs teams to feed needs and evidence/claims requirements to differentiate our portfolio
  • Provide feedback, materials and support to the Sales Training team for customer facing training, education programs and internal customer training
  • Coordinate proactive direct support to the sales team through all stages of a deal, e.g. in customer meetings, demonstrations, RFPs, cross-references, and preparation of offers
  • Travel up to 60% of the time
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years professional experience in Product Management or Marketing, preferably medical device or capital equipment (such as a Med-Surg, ICU, Specialty bed)
  • Clear and concise communication of complex ideas in written and verbal formats, with adaptability to diverse audiences and interactions at all levels
  • Consistent record of delivering high-quality presentations that resonate with audiences and achieve results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Salesforce, with a solid understanding of various ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, and apply technical information including but not limited to technical manuals, technical bulletins, and schematics
  • Ability to analyze data to advise marketing decisions and strategy
  • Expertise in marketing and branding concepts, with a sophisticated understanding of the product development and commercialization process that incorporates customer requirements.
  • Proven success in handling diverse priorities, working autonomously, showing initiative, regularly updating leadership, and being an inspiring leader.
  • Sound decision making and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and changing needs of the business
  • History of informal leadership with the ability to successfully motivate and encourage employees

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
