We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Intern on our Publishing team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office during training and will likely be remote afterwards.

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Zendesk
Support Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship offers
hands-on experience with Zendesk, and is ideal for someone interested in tech
support, customer success, or support operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You'll Do

  • Respond to and triage customer inquiries via Zendesk
  • Assist in tagging, assigning, and organizing support tickets
    for improved tracking
  • Help maintain and optimize Zendesk macros, triggers, and
    automations
  • Support the upkeep and expansion of the Help Center and
    internal knowledge base
  • Assist in testing and documenting new support tools (e.g., AI
    Copilot or automations)
  • Collaborate with other teams (Product, Engineering, Ops) to
    escalate or resolve issues

  • Best practices for customer communication, support ticket management, and workflow optimization
  • Exposure to AI-powered support tools and knowledge management strategies
  • Insights into how cross-functional teams work together to

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, IT, or a related field
  2. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  3. Eagerness to learn support tools and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  4. Familiarity with Zendesk or similar platforms is a plus, but not required

This role is a non-exempt position and the hourly range for this position is $18.50-$24.50. This is the lowest to highest rate we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
