Vice President, Capture

The Vice President, Capture is a strategic leader responsible for driving the company's capture management function, ensuring the development and execution of competitive, compliant, and compelling capture strategies across high-value federal opportunities. This executive role aligns capture efforts with corporate growth objectives and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to maximize win probability.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Vice President, Capture: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Vice President, Capture Responsibilities Include:

  • Leads and oversees the capture lifecycle for priority pursuits, from opportunity identification through proposal submission.
  • Develops and implements enterprise-level capture strategies aligned with customer needs and corporate capabilities.
  • Builds and leads capture teams, including matrixed personnel, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and execution.
  • Cultivates relationships with key government customers, partners, and stakeholders to shape acquisition strategies.
  • Partners with Business Development, Proposal, Pricing, Contracts, and Operations teams to drive solution development and bid readiness.
  • Establishes best practices, tools, and performance metrics to continuously improve capture operations.
  • Oversees compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the capture process.
  • Provides executive updates and briefs on pipeline health, capture status, and win strategy progress.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Vice President, Capture Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in capture, business development, or federal contracting, with a proven track record of winning large-scale contracts.
  • Expert understanding of federal procurement processes and acquisition regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills at the executive level.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and risk management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead high-performance teams under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Proficient in capture planning tools, pipeline CRMs, and federal opportunity databases (e.g., GovWin, SAM.gov).
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
