FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Mon-Fri

**Must live in Western WA as there will be requirements to support onsite work meetings occasionally.

Position Summary

The Emergency Preparedness & Safety Coordinator provides operational support to both the Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety teams. Typical work includes entering, tracking, and pulling data from various sources; develop and publish multiple reports; policy research; code research; project coordination and management for department initiatives; and management of the contract review and evaluation process for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and review of policies and procedures, leads and/or contributes to department quality initiatives and programs, and manages updates and training for the organization Executive On Call program and schedule.
  • This position requires technical skills, organization, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and privileged information.
  • The nature of work may require travel and some non-standard work times to support CBU in evaluation of their local needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • 1 year of experience working in a safety, emergency management, project management or healthcare setting required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $20.07 - $28.87 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
