Key Responsibilities:

• 25%: Community partner and participant engagement
  • Collaborate with and support community partners on study activities
  • Schedule and communicate with participants and community partners
• 50%: Administrative study tasks, which may include:
  • Study materials development or editing
  • Engagement in study activities: recruitment, assess eligibility and consent of research participants, payment to participants and community partners, tracking of activities in an electronic database
  • Data cleaning, analysis, manuscript editing
• 25%: Meetings and other duties
  • Attend study-related team and partner meetings and department/community events
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at another accredited higher education institution
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
• Reliable transportation to get to research sites
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in research
• Previous training in Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Research

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 50 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians. Since then, we have been leaders in transforming the specialty through education, research, and patient care. We are the academic sponsor of nine family medicine residencies-five in the Twin Cities, four in Greater Minnesota. We are involved in medical student education activities across the Medical School's two campuses: Twin Cities and Duluth. We sponsor five fellowship programs-clinical informatics, sports medicine, hospice and palliative medicine, behavioral medicine, and human sexuality- and offer continuing medical education opportunities. We are regularly among the top National Institutes of Health-funded family medicine departments. Our faculty are actively researching health disparities, healthcare delivery, and population health. Pay Rate: $15.25 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
