General Summary: Drives and leads inventory and planning initiatives specific to demand and supply planning strategies for veterinary services. Your responsibilities include leading cross-functional initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge forecasting tools, and driving measurable improvements in demand forecasting accuracy, product availability, and inventory productivity. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to deliver outstanding results for our veterinary and pet services customers. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Leads the evaluation, design, and implementation of inventory and planning initiatives to achieve the organization's operational and financial goals across all commercial touchpoints (e.g., vendor negotiations, contracts, purchasing, product and program pricing, promotions etc.). Conducts in-depth analysis to identify vendor and inventory opportunities based on performance data and medical product solutions and trends. Data analysis to develop and leverage advanced tools to analyze trends, monitor accuracy and opportunities, and identify areas of for continuous improvement Partner closely with cross-functional teams-including finance, field leaders, product and revenue driving teams. Requires accounting and finance related knowledge for inventory and vendor funding. Owns the full lifecycle of high-impact veterinary specific inventory-including vendor management, resource planning, and execution management, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes. Serve as primary point of contact with system upgrades, new modules and other value development items for demand, inventory and vendor management. Lead beta testing for innovation. Lead a team to implement solutions tailored to business and inventory needs. Ability to strongly collaborate and influence cross-functional teams. Stay updated on innovation and technologies to drive improvement in demand planning methodologies. Develops and manages inventory and planning initiatives directly tied to the P&L, building and maintaining financial models and executive-level reporting to monitor performance, evaluate risks, and inform strategic decision-making. Serves as a key thought partner to veterinary leadership by delivering executive-ready presentations, strategic insights, and financial forecasts that that optimize inventory performance and productivity Acts as primary inventory leader and subject matter expert, representing the function in enterprise forums, cross-business committees, and leadership reviews.
