Senior Java Technical Lead

As the Senior Tech Lead, you'll head a pod of engineers responsible for end-to-end application development/ integration. This role requires deep expertise in GCP and both front-end (React) and back-end (Java Spring Boot) technologies, along with proficiency in debugging and optimizing code. Cloud knowledge, Particularly GCP.

Location: Woonsocket - RI USA

Responsibilities:

• 10+ years of hands on experience in Java (Java 8 or higher), ReactJS, Spring, Spring Boot, microservice, ATG

• Hands on experience working with Spring framework using various modules like Spring Core, Spring Batch, Spring AOP etc. Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud architecture, security, DevOps, and data analytics, with experience in developing and deploying cloud-based Java applications, is essential.

• Hands on experience with creating REST API and integrations with Kafka / PUBSUB/SQS.

• hands on experience with GIT/Bitbucket and Docker.

• Familiar with DevOps tools like GCP, Jenkins, Kubernetes, OpenShift and experience in CI/CD

• Experience in writing unit and integration test using testing framework.

• Event Driven architecture experience is must.

• PL/SQL, Oracle, Postgres Database, Postgres Preferred understanding of basic principles of data modelling and BigQuery techiques.

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.

• Experience with asynchronous programming Persistence Frameworks (JPA or Hibernate, for example).

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus Good collaboration and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with GCP, Java ,Spring Boot, React JS and relational databases.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins

• Github, Splunk, AppD Tools

• GCP Certification.

• Debugging and performance optimization techniques.

• Core Java and strong understanding and working knowledge of Object-oriented Concepts like Collections, Packages, Exception Handling, Polymorphism, JDBC and Servlets.

• Worked on Implementing the application using Spring Boot Framework and handled the security using spring security.

Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $87,000 to $141,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
