Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Vice President Revenue Enablement, the Urology Sales Training Director will lead and execute the strategic vision on training programs to equip our sales teams with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to drive success and achieve company goals. This is a highly collaborative, strategic role will partner with across the commercial organization to maximize effectiveness of the field sales training through strategic analytics, strategy development and execution tactics.

Position Overview:

As the Urology Sales Training Director, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive sales training programs across all levels of the sales organization. Your primary objective will be to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team by ensuring clinical competency, improving sales performance, selling skills and supporting professional development. You will work closely with field sales leadership, sales operations, marketing, HR and divisional President to ensure alignment with company objectives and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of sales training programs focused on both foundational and advanced sales techniques.





  • Develop and execute a global sales training strategy aligned with organizational objectives, product pipelines, and regional sales goals.





  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify skills gaps and development needs within the sales teams.





  • Develop and deliver engaging training content, including in-person sessions, virtual learning, e-learning modules, and resources.





  • Develop commercial strategies and programs to maximize effectiveness and efficiency amid changing market dynamics. Develop programs across Urology that focus on growing the overall business.





  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through metrics and feedback, adjusting content and delivery as needed.





  • Mentor and coach sales managers and team leaders to support continuous development and improve their ability to train and motivate their teams.





  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices to ensure the training programs are innovative and aligned with current market demands.





  • Influence acceptance of key commercial strategies through use of data driven storytelling





  • Define, delegate, and manage strategic projects to improve training deliverables.





  • Build a strong training culture within the organization that promotes ongoing learning and professional growth.





  • Manage the sales training budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources in addition to responsibility of the Urology Training Strategic and Annual Operating Plan





  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.





  • Demonstrate leadership throughout the sales training organization and drive achievement of organizational goals through others. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports and provide leadership on day-to-day tasks for team members.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).





  • Proven experience in sales, with a minimum of 7-10 years in sales leadership or sales training roles.





  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, training techniques, and adult learning principles.





  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.





  • Ability to assess performance gaps, design effective learning solutions, and implement practical training programs.





  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.





  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies is a plus.





  • Experience leading cross functional teams and projects.





  • Previous experience leading a sales training department or sales team is highly desirable.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
