Position Description: Automotive New Model Launch engineer for vehicle programs. Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants. Skills Required: Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs. Activities include but are not limited to: Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management, and Budgets/Timing. Skills Preferred: Excel. Experience Required: * Managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant. * Managing Pre-Production Build Events. * Managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles. * Managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan. * Managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds. * Gatekeeper for New Model Programs. * Leading the build issues management process for the cross functional program team. * Co-Chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build. * Champion Senior Management Presentations. * Preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports. * Managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget. Experience Preferred: * Program management experience * Manufacturing experience * Strong communication skills * Ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized Education Required: Engineering degree. Education Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred Additional Information: Fully Onsite. |
