Zayo is seeking Corporate Counsel to provide legal support for Zayo's Corporate group. The Corporate Counsel will support the Associate General Counsel and other members of the legal team by working on a variety of legal matters including M&A, corporate governance, and commercial agreements and transactions. We are seeking an exceptionally strong transactional attorney who is ready for accelerated learning and career growth.

*We're open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our downtown Denver, CO corporate headquarters (1401 Wynkoop).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with M&A diligence, regulatory filings and other related matters.

  • Assist with corporate governance, including drafting board resolutions.

  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements.

  • Provide contract interpretation and day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in other strategic initiatives and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Law (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Member of at least one (1) state bar association and in good standing.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant legal experience.

  • Experience in handling commercial agreements and transactions.

  • Ability to communicate with other personnel and external parties on complicated topics through strong, organized writing and verbal skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including management of projects and workload and setting goals and priorities.

  • Must be a team player able to work cooperatively with others both internal and external to the company to find practical and creative solutions to problems.

  • Computer and software systems experience.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Prior experience successfully operating in a fluid, fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
