JOB MISSION:

This is a highly visibility role that will be responsible for driving critical, complex, and cross-functional initiatives that support the organization's strategic plan. This individual will deeply understand market, industry, and competitive trends, as well as ever-evolving consumer needs, to become a highly valued business partner to our Senior Leaders. They will be known as a 'change agent' that is constantly challenging the status quo with their data-and-consumer-first perspectives.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This individual will be exposed to all parts of the business as projects will vary in scope. Project examples include:

  • Drive corporate strategic planning: Partner closely with executives and business unit leaders to own components of NB's multi-year strategy and goal creation efforts.
  • Portfolio manage the company's most critical strategic initiatives: Prioritize projects based on the organization's strategic goals and our available resources. Establish and maintain reports for the leadership team which provide important context for in-flight and upcoming projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope; proactively anticipate bottlenecks and escalate delays to Senior Management, as needed.
  • Deliver market research and consumer insights: drive compelling insights from complex market, industry, competitive, and consumer data to assist in defining project's scopes and objectives and developing comprehensive recommendations.
  • Generate opportunity assessments on key strategic topics including ROI analyses and approaches on key initiatives spend, providing actionable recommendations based on your analysis. Develop and nurture senior level relationships across functions for the purpose of creating strategies and executing against plans.

REQUIRMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • MBA preferred with 2-3 years' experience (post-graduation) in one of the following fields: internal strategy, consulting, account management, business development.
  • Experience developing business cases with both quantitative and qualitative elements. In turn, this individual will possess: Strong analytical skills; they will be comfortable operating large data sets to drive deep insights, actionable takeaways and improvements. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; they must be professional and confident with an ability to work with all levels of the organization, especially senior level leaders and C-suite executives.
  • Experience managing complex programs (defining requirements, facilitating progress and mitigating risks/blockers) that involve leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, including improvements to existing concepts, and the creation of new innovate ideas.

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
