Overview

SCOPE:
Provides business office management for physician group, typically in a practice with a minimum of 20 physicians and/or 2 or more outreach facilities with total gross revenue of $100 million or more. Assists Practice Administrator in developing policies, procedures, to gain operational efficiencies and improve service to physicians, patients and employees. Manages repair and replacement of capital equipment and manage general facility repair and property management issues. Manages telecom and IT issues for the facility. Reviews new office technologies. Management of space allocation. Maintains accurate departmental personnel records and payroll records. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manages and oversees the daily front-end process for billing for physicians group. Responsible for day-to-day operations of patient billing, charge capture, collections and reimbursement issues.
-Manages and administers the reimbursement policies and procedures. Coordinates the changes between the front office, back office and the clinical staff.
-Manages the staff scheduling of the practice. Oversees the facility management of the practice, office equipment and space allocation. Administers repair requests with outside vendors and property management company. Plans and coordinates all office moves, adds and changes with respect to office relocation and construction.
-Requisitions new equipment, evaluates new technology and make recommendations to the practice. Responsible for the telecommunication system. Assigns phone numbers, moves extensions; adds voicemail and coordinate repairs with vendors.
-Manages the front office staff as it pertains to coverage, training, performance and front office procedures as they relate to the business office.
-Recruits, hires, evaluate and trains office staff as required. Directly supervises all non-clinical office staff including business office, front office and administrative support personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a Business or Healthcare related field. Minimum seven years experience in healthcare management, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
