Software Engineer - Full Stack/Cloud

We are seeking a new member of a highly collaborative team that enables experimentation across the enterprise. Prior experience with Optimizley is a plus but not required. Ability to communicate effectively with business partners, data scientist and engineers in multiple disciplines is essential.

We are seeking a new team member to help support our Adaptive Modeling Ecosystem. This includes building automations, services and new modular frameworks that will enable and streamline AI/ML lifecycle tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilizes up-to-date coding, testing, security, DevOps, and software engineering practices to maintain and create new applications that support business requirements
• Collects and analyzes information to identify customer's technical needs, suggest solutions and develop implementation and integration plans (e.g., technical proposals)
• Responsible for the analysis, design, deployment, support, and security of technology to ensure the organization is efficiently managing its technology and data-related assets in accordance with market best-practices and external regulations
• Exhibits DevOps and Agile mindset where team is accountable for product from inception to sunset
• Demonstrate continuous learning toward gaining knowledge of various product platforms
• Collaborates with business subject matter resources to design and build a solution that meets business requirements
• Demonstrates an understanding of the State Farm organizational structure
• Managing and maintaining user accounts, roles, and access rights
• Designing, implementing, and enforcing security policies
• Handling backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Developing and maintaining automated solutions
• Collaborating with the team and management
• Working with internal and external partners to drive the pace of success
• Anticipating needs and planning ahead

• Knowledge of front-end web applications (HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
• API development experience using Java, Spring boot
• Knowledge of Agile techniques such as Scrum and KanBan
• Knowledge of version control, CI/CD pipeline, Unit testcases and DevOps
• Experience with AWS tech stack (Lambda, CloudFront, Route53, or Eventing Frameworks (SNS, SQS), S3, API gateway, Load Balancing, VPS, Subnets, Security Groups)
• Knowledge of building AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Must have knowledge of AWS core services (S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB)
• Hands-on experience with GitLab
• Ability to learn and adopt n w technologies and languages
• Critical thinking skills to challenge current thinking and apply right technology to solve problems
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace
• Eventing experience a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical knowledge effectively
• Demonstrated learning agility and the desire for continuous growth inside and outside of current role

Additional Skills:

• GIT, GitHub, GitLab, etc. around continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure
• Containers & container-based APIs using a container frameworks Docker or Kubernetes
• Relational databases (e.g., Db2, PostgreSQL, SQLserver)
• Knowledge of TP2 platform and API Caching mechanism

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

Remote: Qualified candidates (outside of hub locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

• Potential starting salary range: $95,500 - $120,000
  • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
  • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
