ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael's is seeking a Temporary FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness) Consultant to support one of our Department of Defense (DoD) clients. This role is expected to last approximately 12 weeks, with the primary focus on providing subject matter expertise and hands-on support for audit readiness and financial improvement initiatives. (this is a short-term position expected to last about 12 weeks)

WHO YOU ARE



  • Up to three years' experience in financial, accounting, business system, and auditing of end-to-end business process activities in support of audit readiness and remediation
  • Eligible to be issued a CAC
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, including the ability to multi-task and work independently; be collaborative and team player/oriented; and be a good communicator and listener
  • Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and self-motivated


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Apply prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) financial improvement or audit readiness efforts
  • Experience with FIAR/OMB Circular A-123 work products: narratives, flowcharts, internal control assessments, systems inventory, test plans/execution, corrective actions (SOX experience will be considered)
  • Strong business writing and communication skills
