David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking a Geospatial and Remote Sensing Project Manager / Client Team Leader (CTL) to guide the future of this growing practice. This is a unique opportunity to combine project leadership, client strategy, and cutting-edge technology in a role that is both entrepreneurial and technically rich. You'll lead high-impact projects and be instrumental in expanding our geospatial capabilities across the company.

About the Role

As Project Manager and Client Team Leader, you'll deliver high-quality geospatial and remote sensing projects that support public and private sector clients. You'll manage proposals, budgets, and project teams, all while maintaining strong client relationships and seeking new opportunities for growth. DEA's investment in advanced tools means you'll work with technology such as GPS, terrestrial laser scanning, unmanned aerial systems, mobile mapping, and hydrographic equipment to support innovative project outcomes.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a blended technical and business development role, and who is ready to elevate the geospatial function as a core strategic asset within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Market Leadership

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients across markets and regions

  • Champion strategic pursuits and collaborate with business unit and segment leaders

  • Help shape and meet annual sales goals for the region

Project Execution

  • Manage budgets, scopes, schedules, and project delivery across geospatial and remote sensing projects

  • Coordinate across DEA's business units and multidisciplinary teams

  • Lead quality control processes and ensure technical excellence throughout delivery

Team Development

  • Mentor, coach, and support technical staff in field and office environments

  • Guide staff growth in geospatial techniques and remote sensing technologies

  • Provide leadership in field coordination, team structure, and execution strategies

Strategic Growth

  • Develop tactical plans to expand geospatial capabilities across DEA

  • Lead proposal development and pricing strategy for project pursuits

  • Identify top priority clients and coordinate market outreach efforts

What You Bring

  • Experience self-managing geospatial projects, including client communication and team leadership

  • Familiarity with state, regional, and national mapping requirements

  • Strong technical skills with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Open Roads

  • Ability to write compelling proposals and manage delivery from concept to closeout

  • Commitment to mentoring and elevating others within a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred

  • FAA Part 107 drone certification preferred

  • Prior experience managing projects with advanced geospatial technologies

  • Anticipated Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000

    • The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
