ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael's is hiring a Special Security Technician to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Special Security Technician, you will conduct visitor control, retrieving and processing visitor clearances, issue access badges, maintaining the SCI visitor control databases, and issuing appropriate SCIF and Collateral badges required for access. WHO YOU ARE



  • Active Top-Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain SCI).
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience overseeing, reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining the integrity and protection of highly sensitive information and programs.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Open secure facilities at 0600 and/or close at 1800 (Monday-Friday, excluding weekends and Government holidays) in accordance with training provided by SOCNOTH SSO. Expected shifts will consist of 0600-1500 and 0900-1800 (hours include 1-hour break for lunch). Shift schedule subject to flexibility/modification per SSO requirements.
  • Conduct visitor control, retrieving and processing visitor clearances, issue access badges, maintaining the SCI visitor control databases, and issuing appropriate SCIF and Collateral badges required for access.
  • Perform escort duties, as needed, for uncleared and emergency personnel.
  • Assist SSO in overseeing, reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining the integrity and protection of highly sensitive information and programs.
  • Manage, issue, track, and control all secure area keys per SOCNORTH SSO Standard Operation Procedures. SSO procedures will be reviewed with government lead the first week of employment.
  • Assist SSO in enforcing SOCNORTH's provided prohibited items policy for individuals entering secure facilities.
  • Assist SSO in ensuring all equipment entering/exiting secured facilities is approved in accordance with provided SOPs.
  • Conduct unannounced and random SCIF compliance inspections as directed by SOCNORTH SSO and record results per SOP documentation guidance provided by SOCNORTH SSO.
  • Assist SSO with writing, drafting, executing SOCNORTH standard operating procedures to ensure secure spaces are continuously protected and sanitized as needed.
  • Assist with emergency action procedures to ensure SCIF and collateral spaces are continuously protected and sanitized upon completion.
  • Assist SSO in conducting annual self-inspection checklists provided by SSO.
  • Assist in the tracking, and approval of all visitor clearances accesses.
  • Respond to alarm activations inside SOCNORTH SCIF(s) or collateral areas.
  • Perform semi-annual alarm response force testing and IDS testing to ensure continued performance and maintain testing records for documentation requirements as directed by SSO provided SOPs.


COMPENSATION: As required by applicable law, St. Michael's Inc. provides reasonable pay ranges for positions based on labor market conditions in locations where compensation transparency is required. The base pay range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000. Final compensation may vary depending on geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.

This position is in support of an upcoming opportunity in Colorado Springs. Award is anticipated, and we are actively gathering qualified candidates in preparation for a successful proposal submission.
