What You Will Do

Here is a summary of what one would expect to be generally responsible for in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Product & Process Management

• Configure & Optimize Applications: Create, maintain, and enhance application configurations for assigned systems, including workflows, data, custom reports, and integrations.

• Drive Process Improvement: Monitor and maintain business process steps, rules, and logic to ensure efficient operations.

• Implement & Innovate: Participate in new software releases, upgrades, and prioritize enhancements by collaborating with functional managers and vendors.

• Expert Support: Serve as a primary contact for assigned modules, resolving issues and ensuring smooth application functionality.

• Quality Assurance: Coordinate testing for new releases and configuration changes to ensure high standards are maintained.

• Documentation & Training: Develop clear and concise application documentation, training, and communication materials.

• Enhance User Experience: Identify opportunities to improve user adoption, drive efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

• Coordinate Rollouts: Work with stakeholders to plan and execute system configuration changes and new releases.

• Reporting and Resolution: Deliver routine reports and serve as a point of contact for managers and end-users, resolving any issues that arise.

Application Support

• Direct User Support: Provide timely and reliable support to internal and external users, resolving issues and offering backup for other team members.

• Troubleshoot & Resolve: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead the resolution process from start to finish, focusing on long-term solutions.

• Track & Manage: Utilize Jira Service Desk and Agile Place to monitor and track all user issues and change requests.

Vendor Management

• Vendor Liaison: Guide internal resources and serve as the main point of contact for cloud application vendors.

• Strategic Insights: Stay informed about vendor product roadmaps and recommend leveraging new features to gain a business advantage.

Who We'd Love To Join Our Team

Successful candidates will ensure their application materials speak to the following criteria:

Education & Experience REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field

• AND minimum of 2 years cloud application technology experience with responsibility in the areas of implementation, configuration, workflow maintenance, reporting, and analytics;

• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired but Not Required:

• Experience with JAGGAER source-to-pay

• Experience with Concur Travel & Expense Management

• Experience with DocuSign Template creation

• Professional experience in higher education, non-profit, or research institutions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities REQUIRED:

• Proven experience administering and configuring cloud-based software, especially in areas like Human Capital Management, Travel & Expense, Source-to-Pay, or other financial applications. You understand appropriate internal controls.

• Experience with Workday HCM software solutions.

• Demonstrated skills in business analysis, process modeling, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Experience developing insightful reports and dashboards using cloud analytics tools and business report writing software.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban) and the ability to manage project schedules, including testing, change management, and risk.

• Hands-on experience with issue and project tracking tools like Agile Place or Jira.

• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with excellent time management, capable of juggling multiple priorities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for collaborating effectively with diverse colleagues and vendors at all organizational levels.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Google applications.

• A solid understanding of core IT concepts, including transaction processing, relational databases, web technologies, and integrations.
