General Summary of Position: The Economics Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a one year visiting full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer to start September 1, 2025. Primary responsibilities are to provide teaching and service to the Department. The teaching load will be four courses per semester, with no more than two preparations per semester. Teaching responsibilities will consist of existing undergraduate courses, including principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, and introductory statistics. The department offers a BA in Economics and a BS in Quantitative Economics. Area of specialization is open. The ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment. The University of Massachusetts Lowell is a research 1 university, located about 25 miles northwest of Boston. The Economics department is part of the College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (FAHSS). The department currently has 9 full-time faculty.
