Job Summary
The primary role of the Community Relations & LA Galaxy Foundation Coordinator is the administration of ongoing LA Galaxy Foundation facility-based fundraising programs at all LA Galaxy home games as well as provide support for annual LA Galaxy Community Relations tickets, soccer clinics and school initiatives. The coordinator reports directly to the Director of Community Relations & LA Galaxy Foundation and helps create and execute efficient execution strategies that fit within the parameter of the resources provided. The coordinator also assists with annual LA Galaxy Foundation events working regularly with other Departments to execute club wide programming.

Essential Functions



  • Support ongoing LA Galaxy education-based community initiatives via local elementary schools and facility-based programming, including but not limited to LA Galaxy Champion Project.
  • Oversee LA Galaxy Community Ticket Program while managing database and regular communication with community partners for distribution of tickets and giveaways for LA Galaxy home matches.
  • Act as lead for LA Galaxy Foundation in-game fundraising efforts as they apply to the in-game auction, item sales and Name in Lights program.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to all charitable donation requests and internal platforms, including Asana, Formstack submissions, and email communications.
  • Assist in the execution and planning of other LA Galaxy Foundation and Community Relations events and activities as assigned including but not limited to donation fulfillment and Protect the Pitch initiatives.
  • Schedule and support LA Galaxy Community Soccer Clinics with local youth soccer partners within under-served and at-risk communities.
  • Lead the LA Galaxy's support of annual Dignity Health Sport Park community events providing an LA Galaxy presence at events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Foundations Feast, and Treats-N-Suites.
  • Create a content calendar and manage communication for LA Galaxy Foundation as it may apply to the monthly newsletter and social media outlets.
  • Plan and organize postgame Meet & Greets with local community partners as needed.


Required Qualifications



  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
  • 2-4 years Related work experience in fundraising efforts and similar field preferred
  • Related work experience (including experience leading and coordinating large groups)
  • Experience working in community relations for a sports team or live events experience a plus
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be a team player with a commitment to relationship building
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with the ability to successfully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated and creative self-starter with the ability to adapt and prioritize in rapidly changing situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); and ability to learn required business systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and events as business dictates
  • Familiarity with social content pages
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Background in soccer is preferred


Pay Scale: $20.15 - $26.00

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
