Research Senior Associate

The Research Senior Associate will support and manage translational cancer immunotherapy research projects focused on antibody engineering and antibody-based cell therapy platforms. This role involves contributing to the design, execution, and analysis of experiments; supporting project planning; and coordinating daily research operations related to the development and evaluation of antibody therapeutics, including antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), bispecifics, and CAR-NK/CAR-T cells.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently plans and conducts laboratory experiments involving complex in vitro and in vivo techniques.
  • Executes molecular biology protocols (e.g., DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR), antibody and protein production, purification, and characterization.
  • Performs immunological and biochemical assays (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, Biacore/SPR, IncuCyte or RTCA cytotoxicity assays, ADCC/CDC assays).
  • Supports small animal studies, including injections (tail vein, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous), tumor modeling, and in vivo imaging.
  • Analyzes experimental data, prepares figures and reports, and maintains accurate laboratory records.
  • Assists with the development of grant proposals and manuscripts in collaboration with principal investigators.
  • Oversees technical staff and provides training in relevant techniques and protocols.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory; ensures compliance with institutional, state, and federal safety regulations (including OSHA).
  • Coordinates usage and maintenance of shared instrumentation within the PIIO Center for Antibody Therapeutics.

Qualifications
Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or other biological/health science degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree
