Description

Acara Solution has multiple openings for Python Developers at our defense client in Taunton, MA (near Providence, RI) and in Dedham, MA (just south of Boston). These are contract-to-direct or long term contract openings. 100% onsite.

Current U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance required.
  • The client seeks a Python Developer for our Secure Network and Voice Product Development Team.
  • This position is critical for advancing our automated testing capabilities.
  • Collaboration within an agile team is needed to convert operational concepts into practical designs and implementations.
  • The role entails transforming existing designs and new specifications into design, coding, and conducting testing and debugging.
  • Work on an agile team to design and implement automated testing solutions.
  • Develop automation within a test framework.
  • Building test automation into a CI/CD process (Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Collaborate with developers to capture new and modified code.
  • Solve complex problems and implement efficient solutions.
  • Continuously learn and improve your coding skills.
  • Work in an environment that encourages innovation and creativity.
  • Passion for coding and staying updated with the latest technologies.
  • Shows initiative on assignments and executes projects with little guidance.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance (or have held an active clearance within the past 2 years)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Min 5 years of Python programming
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in testing and debugging.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience building test automation into a CI/CD process (Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Agile experience.
  • Good knowledge of Python programming.
  • Proficient knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), version control, defect reporting, and scripting.
  • Ability to turn concepts, specifications, or requirements into design and code.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Understanding of software development best practices.
  • Ability to define the scope, schedule, and expectations for your work.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to effectively multitask.
