Join us as our new Quality Control Coordinator!
In this role you will serve as a liaison between Operations and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Initiate and maintain information flow concerning samples and their status in relation to intermediate and finished goods. Maintain close cooperation within Operations and SCM organizations as it relates to quality initiatives and improvements.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

Laboratory Responsibilities:

Responsible for sample/information logistics within the Quality Control department.

  • Intermediate (Fermentation, Recovery, Granulation, Optimization and SCM)

  • Finished Goods

  • Stability samples

  • Returned goods

  • Batch re-analysis

  • Customer inquiries/complaints

  • Specialty or miscellaneous samples

Computer Skills:

Must be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the following computer systems:

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and TEAMSs

  • Key user of SAP for the QC department. Establish high competency level in SAP and be recognized locally as a key user and resource for system changes.

  • Includes SIR generation and testing.

  • Condusct SAP training as needed for the department.

  • Competency in using LIMS.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Demonstrate cultural awareness in communications that will elicit a positive and proactive exchange of information.

  • Ability to work with Novonesis colleagues worldwide on global projects.

  • Regular communication with listed contacts.

  • Utilize excellent communication skills to support daily work activities and project related assignments.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and present data findings providing a valid conclusion based on the data analysis.

  • Support various operational manufacturing teams and suppliers in resolving and preventing quality issues.

  • Contact person for SAP Quality module problems

  • Responsible for dissemination of quality related data, as needed, both internally and externally.

  • QC Monthly Reports

  • Monthly KPI status

  • Laboratory Data Analysis

  • Liaison with Operations, Customer Service, SCM (Warehouse) and E4U for information related to sample status and product quality.

Initiative and Teamwork:

  • Utilize Quality Management tools in problem solving and method improvement initiatives and suggest improvements to these tools.

  • Demonstrate initiative in carrying out assigned responsibilities and good collaboration with colleagues.

  • Drive actions that are responsible for meeting or exceeding relevant KPI's and goals.

  • Actively participate in department meetings, projects, and teams (e.g., Safety, Quality, etc.).

Lean:

  • Participate/responsible in updating of Lean boards as assigned.

  • Present KPI's

  • Be on time and prepared for board meetings

  • Present problems/issues and suggest solutions.

  • Dedicated participation (i.e., board meetings, problem solving and Lean improvement activities)

General:

  • Perform job duties in a manner that supports site Quality, Safety and Environmental policies and regulations, and contribute to improving results in these areas.

  • Follow all laboratory safety rules and good housekeeping practices

  • Set an example for others regarding Novonesis values.

  • Perform other duties assigned by department management.

To succeed you must have:

  • Associate of Arts degree in Science or 8 years' experience as a Franklinton employee.

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to demonstrate competency in SAP.

  • Knowledge of basic chemistry or biology (helpful).

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.

  • Strong understanding of the production process.

Location: Salem, VA

Expected pay range: $45,000 - $55,000
