Oversees all aspects of end-user and desktop computing within the Medical Center. Responsible for developing implementing directing and maintaining the desktop computing infrastructure within the University of Virginia Health System. As such the Director is responsible for leading all strategic initiatives to enhance and promote the usability availability and integrity of the Health System's end user computing environment. The end-user computing environment includes all PCs laptops tablets printers peripherals software and mobile devices necessary to access and use all core Health System and departmental systems. Areas of support encompass desktop software engineering development and administration of a large Citrix server infrastructure desktop and mobile management products and three tiers of support including the Help Desk field techs and engineering resources. Additionally oversees all aspects of the development and support of the IT Management Suite of software used for HSTS Help Desk operations Service Request processing asset inventory and account provisioning for Health System customers.
