Estimated annual base pay: $69,200 (minimum) - $86,500 (midpoint) - $103,800 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Senior Buyer, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Sr. Government Contract Buyer /Planner creates, reviews and maintains valid plans of material and manages the supply base in order to meet customer demand.

What you will be doing...

  • Material Planning & Management:Plans, schedules, releases, and manages purchase orders, interplant orders, and work orders to ensure material flow and customer support.
  • Supplier Coordination:Directs supplier actions using ERP data to mitigate delays, resolve complex supplier situations, and manage post-award supplier relationships.
  • Procurement & Compliance:Ensures government compliance throughout procurement processes, manages NDAs, formulates RFQs/RFPs, and executes technical evaluations of proposals.
  • Negotiation & Cost Analysis:Develops strategies to negotiate purchase order terms (price, delivery, etc.), performs cost/price analysis, and obtains favorable price variances.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Participates in SIOP and capacity review meetings, communicates cost changes, and resolves material issues with departments and the supply chain.
  • Technical Expertise:Demonstrates expert knowledge of MRP systems (WISE/Cincom/SAP), government regulations (FAR, DFARS), and material planning/scheduling functions.

What we are looking for...

Education:

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
  • Relevant engineering degree is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years as Buyer/Planner in a Government Contracting environment

License & Certifications:

  • APICS and CPSM/CPM Certification
  • Greenbelt certification
