This position will remain open until filled. JOB SUMMARY: This position schedules, this position directs, and performs professional forestry and grounds activities, including maintenance on all village-owned trees located adjacent to village buildings and on any village-owned rights-of-way; tree trimming, tree planting, tree spraying, tree identification, and tree disease analysis; routine maintenance of all village owned grounds, including parkways and areas surrounding public buildings; develops and coordinates reforestation program; participates in the selection and maintenance of all types of plant materials, including flowering plants, shrubs and bushes, and turf grass. This position also is a shift leader in the Snow and Ice Control program; responds to emergency conditions; develops short- and long-term work schedules; and oversees implementation of the division's budget and work projections. JOB DUTIES: 1. Develops and coordinates a schedule of daily, weekly, and monthly work activities to be performed, and reports accomplishments of scheduled work activities. Verifies work crew progress and follows up to make sure the job is completed correctly and on time. Hears and resolves employee issues. QUALIFICATIONS: STARTING PAY RATE: $44.72 - $54.79 per hour based on 40-hour workweek. Salary dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is $44.72 - $64.85.
