Overview
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and execution of the company's corporate compliance and privacy programs. This individual will support the overall functions of the compliance program (auditing, monitoring, training, policy management, investigations, risk assessments) supporting key compliance controls and the business' functional departments with specific oversight and responsibility for data analysis. The Compliance Analyst will be take a lead role in the identification, development, and implementation of systems and processes to enhance efficiency and streamline compliance activities, including reporting tools, benchmarking, workflows, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate data (compliance metrics, medical record information, benchmarking) and communicate analysis to leadership via reports, dashboards, and in meetings.
- Lead new software implementation of GRC1-Custom Insights, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance
- Collaborate with pertinent internal departments to develop reports and dashboards.
- Compliance Systems Administrator:
- Function as system administrator for our Navex system (Ethics Point and GRC1 Custom Insights).
- Ensure system settings, prepare for and launch periodic processes, troubleshoot user difficulties working with technology team for a smooth user experience, monitor system, review data and handle reporting.
- Identify potential system enhancements and manage change management cycle to develop and implement enhancements.
- Maintain system documentation.
- Create, in partnership with stakeholders across the company, annual compliance audit and training inventories for tracking and reporting on throughout the year.
- Coordinate various communications and/or requests for information/reporting and as needed, monitor for completion of deliverables.
- Identify, develop, and implement systems, processes, and reports to enhance efficiency and quality of reporting.
- Maintain content and record integrity of the Ethics and Compliance SharePoint site on company intranet. Identify and implement site enhancements.
- Develop and maintain compliance templates, checklists, work instructions and other relevant documentation needed for the effective functioning of the department
- Support development of a supportive, inclusive and positive compliance culture across the organization.

Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
- 2+ years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Risk Management as a paralegal or compliance professional (in healthcare environment preferred)
- Previous data and analytics experience
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Previous experience implementing or using GRC1-Custom Insights or similar compliance reporting software
- Certification as CHC, CHPC, CCEP or other accredited regulatory compliance certification program or willingness to become certified
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of healthcare methodologies (coding, coverage, clinical criteria, payment)
- Understanding of compliance concepts in the healthcare industry (especially fraud and abuse, confidentiality/protected health information, electronic security, anti-kickback, physician/clinician "sunshine" reporting and general regulatory compliance strategies)
- Familiarity and understanding of:
- False Claims Act
- Anti-Kickback statute
- HIPAA
- Sunshine Act/Open Payments Reporting (and separate state statutes)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization
- Customer service skills
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proven track record of building effective relationships with stakeholders
- Strong collaborative style, both internally and externally, to ensure objectives are met
- Results driven and proactive
- Ability to clearly document evidence with excellent attention to details

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$61,500 - $86,205
