ROLE

Snowflake is looking for a talented and highly experienced senior writer and editor to join our expanding content team. You will play a pivotal role in editing, planning and executing strategy for a variety of projects, including in-depth reports, ebooks, web pages and blog posts. This role requires a high level of collaboration across the product, marketing, web, design and customer advocacy teams.

We're looking for someone who knows how to manage stakeholders, a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic, is a facile writer and editor who can turn copy around quickly and efficiently, and who has a passion for all aspects of developing and creating great content. The ideal candidate will have experience managing detailed content calendars and process workflows, working on and packaging content with cross-functional teams, and turning technical concepts into compelling copy that engages our target audiences. This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
  • Write, edit, manage and post blog posts on tight timeline, working with a variety of stakeholders

  • Develop, write and edit high-impact content, from in-depth reports designed for awareness to customer stories, op-eds, blogs, web pages and much more

  • Coordinate with internal content team and marketing partners on content calendars and content needs, keying in upon promotion-worthy content and topic ideas

  • Manage a content calendar and content processes for the blog and other publishing channels; juggle competing priorities with stakeholders

  • Continually test and improve content strategy for reaching and engaging key target audiences

  • Partner with product marketers, design and growth marketing teams to build assets for campaigns

  • Proactively be a fountain of ideas for new and engaging content that drives results

  • Collaborate with a wide range of editors, contractors and writers; help drive and constantly improve content production processes

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5-7+ years experience with proven end-to-end content strategy in editorial or digital marketing role delivering content in a wide array of formats

  • Fast, proficient writer and editor (and content packager) - with demonstrated strength in storytelling - across a wide range of topics in a variety of formats

  • Very strong project management skills - the ability to own and drive schedules from start to finish, including managing peers and stakeholder relationships

  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to change in a high-velocity and dynamic environment

  • Experience using analytics to determine the impact and effectiveness of content communication channels to better inform our strategy

  • Previous experience with technical, enterprise, industry or public sector content is a plus

  • Journalism and reporting experience or a background creating and developing magazine-level business and consumer content is a very, very strong plus

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $187,900.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
