  • Overview:
    Employee is responsible for the line assembling of doors on first shift, M-Th 4:30am-3:00pm. Tasks are fast paced and require a high level of mental alertness. Most work is performed below shoulder level. Task requires repetitive use of hands. As time allows worker may do light clean up in his/her work area. Safe use of Pneumatic fastener equipment is required to perform this task. Build all types of units within the Interior department with the correct quality specification to the customer's request. Operate with a very high level of quality, safety, and productivity at all times. Read and Interpret Production tickets; measure, cut and assemble brick mold and sill; ensure jams are correct to unit size; ensure product quality.Assemble door frame and attach to slab using pneumatic and manual tools in a fast paced environment, ensuring correct components are used.


  • Job Description:

    Knowledge:



    • Strong Product knowledge; Read and interpret production tickets
    • Must be able to assemble all types of units pertaining to Interior and Exterior units in an accurate and timely manner to meet COQ and efficiency expectations.
    • Must understand the handing of the doors. Must know the different species of jambs. Must have knowledge of how to apply the sill and hinges correctly. Must know which fire-rated labels to apply, as well as the placement.
    • Minimal supervision, verify quality/accuracy/count of raw materials. Verify correct materials (species and size) to build finished product to customer specifications.



    Qualifications:



    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace and handle multiple parts, fast pace is physically demanding
    • Ability to understand/read English Required
    • Minimum High School Diploma
    • Manufacturing experience preferred
